Organisational Development
There are various definitions on what Organisational Development means. As a result how Organisation Development is viewed and valued can vary from organisation to organisation with the term ‘OD’ sometimes used interchangeably with other disciplines, such as organisational design, learning and development, and organisation effectiveness. However, it could be argued that all these disciplines, alongside change management are, in fact, part of the OD tool-kit.
CIPD describes Organisational Development as a ”Planned and systematic approach to enabling sustained organisation performance through the involvement of its people.”
We believe that a high performing organisation is successfully achieved through a highly motivated, skilled, valued and engaged workforce. Organisational Development enables this via a top down organisation-wide effort which increases organisational effectiveness and health.
At Aceber we believe that:
- the effectiveness of organisational development depends on the quality of its resources (e.g. people, processes, technology);
- Organisational Development cannot generate the expected outcomes if the focus of change is not motivated to improve organisational effectiveness;
- the quality of organisational development interventions are dependent on the competence and experience of the change agent either internal management or the external consultant.
- One size does not fit all – Our OD interventions are tailored to meet the needs of our clients and it’s people to achieve successful outcomes.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
There are real benefits to be obtained through CRM. The better an organisation understand its customers and can manage the relationship it has with them, the more responsive it can be to their needs and the more successful the organisation will become. CRM provides not only a systematic and technical process but a strategy to learn about customers’ needs and behaviour in order to develop stronger relationship with them. CRM can therefore help organisations to gain an insight into the behaviour of their customers, recognising their value and capitalising on improved customer relations.
Aceber helps clients to:
- Identify their CRM goals by researching the market and support them in making the right decisions on the type of CRM needed and interface required.
- Quantify the anticipated benefits of improving CRM.
- Implement CRM, making sure that each planned solution can be integrated with existing ones and that there are resources or contingency to cope with any impact resulting from changes in customers’ response.
- Establish security and data protection measures.
- Plan for collaboration between those inside and outside the organisation, setting up a pilot study and/or plan for further training where necessary for culture change to secure relevant network systems.
- Plan and implement the roll out of CRM at stages, taking on board staff training and adjustment.
